The value of collecting this data is so that, for example, you can identify common waking patterns which may indicate an environmental disturbance you were previously unaware of, or you can identify unhelpful lifestyle habits which may contribute to poor sleep, such as dietary factors, or other issues such as irregular breathing. In the event that further investigation is required with the assistance of a doctor or at a sleep clinic, you will have on hand a log of helpful and accurate sleep data to share with the physician. When developing the Beurer SE80 SleepExpert sleep sensor, we drew heavily on experience gained from the professional use of devices for measuring vital signs in hospitals, sleep laboratories and on many years of research. This ultra slim sensor is simply placed under the mattress at shoulder height, ensuring the sensor itself will not disturb your sleep. As well as monitoring your sleep, this intelligent piece of kit analyses your data to identify your current sleep phase (5 - 7 cycles of Light, Deep or REM sleep), and offers a "Fresh Awake" function, to help you wake up well-rested and in the right phase.
